Wings over Newington

Corsairs enter the game, might have been a better  title.

Now the Navy's Torpedo and Dive bombers a well as fighters

All three fighter groups.

Stands in the back denote higher altitude flights.

The black puffs are flak simulations.

Corsairs, although to be historic the USN planes will all be considered to be Hellcats (_4F4 ).

Stopped by the store Wednesday,  the Yorktown was on the table.  In a couple days we will have a dry run.   More photos then.

Nice I like the flack markers! I have to confess to a marked ignorance about USN plane types, Corsairs, Dauntles dive bombers, think that's about it!
Best Iain

Are you going to be using the Blood Red Skies rules or something else? I have a Check Your 6 Battle of Britain game scheduled for this weekend using my re-purposed BRS models - it looks like it's just the time of year for WW2 aerial combat!

Nice setup Joe. That looks like it will be fun.

Is it just me, or are Corsairs *everyone's* favourite?!
Gull-wing, probably second only to delta wing in my top attributes for good lookin' aeroplanes.
Looking forward very much to the promised 'in a couple of days'.
Best wishes, James

The flack markers were fun, glue & spray. Perhaps the time for a Cactus Airforce/Coral Sea post.

Ski, we are using Blood Red Skies. There is a second wave of WW2 flight in the second half of this year.

We will try to note which players are having fun.

Corsairs....gull winged, cool name, good rep. I have to admit I like them over the Brewster Buffalo. Still the P40's are my favorite.
