Russian commands and German commands in '41 cycle

The OOB of the German unis have a company level commander as well as a battalion command stand.  The Soviet units often have only  battalion   commanders.  This represents more flexibility in the German formations, as more orders and more precise direction can be given to small groups of stands.

We three old guys did get together Friday, although one player had to come later due to a family commitment.

I set up a truncated version of the last post situation. Greg and Roger  played through with the Germans while I ran the Soviets. Pat then got her dining table back.

Rare 'across the table ' photo from p.o.v. the other players. That's my right elbow and left hand attempting to control the out come by rolling high on he dice.

Since it was more a teaching session there are not many photos. Greg just starting up on the rules and Roger and I getting back to them (last play 2013!) It was a good review, got a few ideas which should make for a few good scenarios.

Part of our get to-gethers include the show and tell segment.

Roger thought I was outnumbered after our run-through of the Yorktown game.  He purchased, painted and applied decals to a Wildcat squadron, all since the 31st!  They even look better than mine. Support like this is humbling.

 Other toys by Roger:

  First of the gallic chariots.

  Finishing off his 15mm DAK

Ancients from Cartrhage

   Ditto.

And from Greg as well:

Great that you had another run through of the '41 game Joe. For mine, Roger's Wildcats steal the show of a fine show and tell.
Best wishes, James

James, it is good when we start a new project for everyone to know the rules. I agree, Roger's Wildcats are just what I need for the Yorktown scenario.

Ray, I am truly blessed, since 1974! There are a few more 20mm figures to populate the table for the Eastfront games.
